MBOFVG 2013: How's It Growin'?

I think I should call this the collage corner--it has petunia, lavender, potato, sunflower, and alyssum. all competing for every last square centimeter of space.

Still not crazy about growing stuff in pots, but I have to admit this little mix is easy on the eyes.

As is this one.

How can a man die if he has sage growing in his garden?

Sightseeing in the South Side of Santa Teresa County Park

Yes, we're doing the county park circuit it seems. This Sunday I threw the bikes on the back of the mini-van and we headed over to the Harry Road entrance of the Calero Creek Trail. The hills were wearing their springtime best for us.

Cruising Calero

Went on a wildflower walk with the youngins and the missus on Sunday in Calero County Park. Beautiful, tranquil, and just what the doctor ordered (Dr. J.S.Bursch, that is).

MBOFVG 2013: Growin' to Hell

I've never been a pot person, in any sense of the word, but I have to admit these glazed pots with mixed annuals do add a much needed splash of color to an otherwise drab yard.

The lavender, violas, petunias, and alyssum make a nice combination by the back door.

And no man could call himself a true gardener without at least a couple of cold frames to his name, so I built this thing, which I have dubbed a "greentent."
